Champaign Area USBC Announces 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Champaign Area USBC will induct three bowlers into the Hall of Fame on September 18 at the Lake of the Woods Rotary Hill Pavilion. The day will start with a golf outing for those wanting to partake and then a steak/chicken lunch at approximately 1:30 at the pavilion with the inductions to follow.

Being inducted for bowling accomplishments are Rickey Kendrick and Byron Miller. Being inducted for Service to the Game is Merle Merchant. Miller follows his father’s induction into the hall (Robert E Miller) in 1998

MERLE MERCHANT

  • Member of CCBA/CAUSBC for 48 years
  • CCBA Board Member for 15 years
  • Secretary of Thursday Night Maplewood League 15 years
  • Secretary Intramural League at Chanute AFB 10 years
  • Had a 300 game at age 75
